AT A TRAFFIC SIGNAL
I saw an aged childhood
Stripped of innocence
Running around a vehicle
At a Traffic Signal.
Under that sun burnt skin
Were some burnt dreams
Looking like a dried bud
Trapped in a vicious circle
At a traffic signal.
Selling a bunch of lovely
Beautiful fresh flowers
Forcing herself to smile
Everyday I see that girl
At a traffic signal.
To admire the will to survive
To see her performing duties
To learn to keep going
Life comes to a still
At a traffic signal.
Light will soon turn green
And we all have to go
But when will life’s red light
Change for that little angel
At a traffic signal.
Stripped of innocence
Running around a vehicle
At a Traffic Signal.
Under that sun burnt skin
Were some burnt dreams
Looking like a dried bud
Trapped in a vicious circle
At a traffic signal.
Selling a bunch of lovely
Beautiful fresh flowers
Forcing herself to smile
Everyday I see that girl
At a traffic signal.
To admire the will to survive
To see her performing duties
To learn to keep going
Life comes to a still
At a traffic signal.
Light will soon turn green
And we all have to go
But when will life’s red light
Change for that little angel
At a traffic signal.
